Besides the end-unit, there is a vast variety of accessories that can be used to study and enhance the system, including:
+ LCU500 Simulator The simulator is designed to enable the programming of the unit as well as to study and simulate in lab conditions the unit's performances in various events. It is recommended using the simulator for learning the unit's features and changing the defined parameters in the unit, when needed The Keypad is used to Arm and Disarm the unit, entering it to Garage mode and for Driver's identification application. It also includes a built-in Emergency button (can be disabled through the Installer's Application). The Dallas iButton is used to disarm the unit, set it to Garage mode, and in the driver's identification process. The LCU500 allows you to input up to three Dallas iButtons into it's memory. The Remote Control is used to Arm/Disarm the unit and to Lock/Unlock the vehicle. The LCU500 allows you to setup two Remotes within the unit's memory. The Code Remote Control is used to Arm/Disarm the unit and to Lock/Unlock the vehicle. The LCU500 unit allows you to setup two different remote controls within the unit's memory. Transponder is a carried device for Arming/Disarming the unit. The Transponder responds automatically when approaching or leaving the unit range (more than 10 meters) and Arms or Disarms the vehicle accordingly. Designed to detect brake with acceleration between 0.25G - 0.7G forward only. Allows to identify vehicle abuse by the driver, while he overuses the vehicle breaks and/or stops abruptly. The sensor is immune to any temperature changes and has a sophisticated algorithm to eliminate false alarms. Detects impact of the car. The sensor is designed to detect an impact with acceleration above 8G forward and backward, and 3G laterally. The sensor is immuned to any temperature changes and has a sophisticated algorithm to eliminate false alarms. The MDT is a programmable text terminal installed in vehicles and used to display incoming text messages and initiate outgoing text messages between the vehicle and a fleet manager. Data is transferred to/from the MDT via the serial RS232 port that is typically connected to a wireless radio modem. The MDT is designed to withstand the tough vehicle environment, including extreme temperatures, providing the reliability required for critical mobile data applications. The MDT is fully integrated with STARCOM Fleet Management software. The LCU500 Hands-free kit activates an option of the Voice Call between the Driver and the Control room for the purposes of fleet management, or personal security (for example, in case of kidnapping, the call allows to hear what is going on in the vehicle). The application is available for any mobile phone supporting java mobile applications (most phones made after 2001 fulfill this requirement). The application is available in English, Spanish, and Italian.
