Become A Dealer
We at Starcom Systems are constantly looking to expand our community of local dealers, and to find new dealers who wish to participate in the success of the most unique and advanced system in this growing market.

What is a local dealer?
A local dealer (or an "operator") is a company that offers the best of Starcom Systems products and services, in its territory.

What type of services an operator is offering to its clients?
The operators can offer to their clients either a fleet management service, a vehicle and driver protection services, or both.

Who are the potential clients?
For fleet management service, the potential clients can be:
  • Commercial companies with large fleet of vehicles (such as transportation, car leasing, taxi stations, deliveries and distributions companies).
  • Public service fleets (such as buses, police, ambulances, security services, and garbage trucks).
  • Maritime vehicles management.
  • Trains companies.
  • Containers and tanker truck companies.
  • Private clients.
For the security service, the potential clients can be:
  • Insurance companies.
  • Commercial companies.
  • Private clients.
What are the incentives of the clients to purchase the service?
The system can provide the fleet manager with a wide variety of performance reports and real-time alert. Customers that are using the service are known to cut at least 15% on vehicle expenses, while the operation of the company becomes much more efficient.
The security service drastically reduces the risk of vehicle theft for the insurance companies and fleet owners, in addition to providing the means to protect the driver.

What is the business model?
The business model is usually either to sell the unit, and charge the clients for a monthly fee, or to include the cost of the unit in a slightly higher monthly fee. The core of the business is the monthly fees, which provides the dealer, within a short period of time, a profitable service - a service that creates a loyal community for a long time.

What are the requirements from the dealer in order to start offering the fleet management service?
The prerequisites of the local dealer to offer the fleet management service are:
  • Set up a computer with a permanent IP address to function as the server of the system.
  • Contact an experienced vehicle alarm systems installer in order to install the units in the vehicles.
  • Purchase one SIM card per unit, which can use Internet GPRS data of up to 2MB and send 100 SMS messages per month (this can be optimized later on).

Can I present the system as part of my company and under by own brand name?
Yes. Moreover, the fleet management application which the end client will use can be customized to appear with your logo, color pattern, and language.

Do you have an evaluation kit?
Yes. The evaluation kit includes 3 units and one tester. The tester allows you to program the unit's parameters and simulate a vehicle.

Do you provide an on-site training?
Yes. After the first commercial purchase order has been delivered, a Starcom Systems staff member will arrive in order to provide an on-site training. We will teach you on how to install the unit, how to use the various applications, and how to market the system. The training for each of the two services is four days. Immediately after the training is over - you are fully operational and ready to start selling.
